KYLE TIMSON

Kyle is a director, performer, and educator based in New York City. He has spent the past 4 months performing in The Phoenix Theatre Company's production of Les Miserables before returning home to New York City this month. Prior to his time in Phoenix, Kyle worked as the Resident Director for the Broadway National Tour of Les Mis, which closed in June. Before transitioning to the resident position on tour, Kyle spent five years and over 1,800 performances with the show as a Swing and Dance Captain. 

 

Before Les Mis, Kyle earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan. He subsequently embarked on the international tour of Shrek the Musical in the titular role.

 

In his free time, Kyle dedicates himself to teaching. His experience on Les Mis has provided him with a deep understanding of the essential qualities needed for performing mega-musical style theatre and maintaining longevity through long runs. Beyond performance coaching, Kyle is committed to fostering a sense of comfort and familiarity within the industry regarding the business aspects of the profession. He has developed a series of personal finance classes that cater to a diverse range of performers, from aspiring artists to seasoned actors with lucrative contracts.
